This room has quickly made it into my top 5. It is beautifully decorated, with set, video, lighting, and audio to match. The use of the actor is so wonderfully done, and not just to increase the horror. There is definitely tension throughout, but if you are not a horror fan, it is still quite enjoyable.
The puzzles added to the story and ambiance. And as we discovered each no space it proved how well they have used the space they have. And somehow I didn't realise that this was the third year it has been on the Terpeca list, because it seemed so current and well kept.

To date this is my favourite pirate-themed room. It has humour, cool effects, role playing with an actor, various puzzles all in theme, and lots of fun. Oh, and the hint system was so fun (I have seen it a few times before, but it is always so novel and fits the story so well.)
We also played their other room that can be played in English, and they were like night and day. I would say this is the only one you need to play :)

After playing Dead Man's Revenge, we played this older room (and their only other room that has English). Our expectations were of course lower, and we thought we knew what we were getting into. I understood it was an older room, but there doesn't seem to be much upkeep. You see technical boxes and wires everywhere, and the puzzles were all things we have seen before. From my three days in Poland and 17 rooms, this is the only one that really wasn't worth it for me.

Such a fun a cute game that was clearly made with love. They used the space so well, and it was surprising as we kept exploring more and more areas of the cute cottage. There is audio to accompany more of what you do, and it really adds to the cute vibe. The puzzles were a lot of fun, and no locks or keys used here.

What I enjoyed the most in this room were some of the puzzles that were quite unique for me. All the puzzles fit the theme well, and there was a really nice flow. Don't expect an intricate story, but have fun with the atmosphere and puzzles.
For a relatively small amount of space, there were many puzzles, and never any down time. Although Green Mile gets all the hype, I definitely think this one is worth a visit as well.

You and your friends are attending a midnight showing of a film, but it seems the cinema is not used to having customers. Although it is already clear what we are in for, there is a nice actor interaction to help get you into the story. What a great cinema usher! :)
The room is beautifully built, and it is so authentic you almost wonder if it was actually an old cinema! There is one really cool effect, but half our team didn't notice it - perhaps there were too scared to look around ;)
This room is advertised as a horror room, and I am not the bravest, but I was able to endure quite well (it helps that I was the bravest of our group of 4.. ha!). So if you are hesitant, don't be!
The puzzles were well integrated into the space, and there was one puzzles I LOVED that was integrated with technology in a way I had not seen before (no spoilers). As with many "scary" rooms, the puzzles in general were not too deep, and we definitely got our steps in during this room (iykyk).
I am so happy we were able to get a booking during our trip!

This is the oldest room at this location, but we could not tell - we had so much fun with this one. After gameplay, the GM explained that it was updated a little while ago, and it is so great when a company works to do this. Nothing seemed old or worn, and the puzzles were very enjoyable and on theme!
I have not seen the TV program on which this room is based (although I know the premise), and that did not affect our gameplay. As with Here I Am, the GM took time after to show a few easter eggs, so it is great to see their attention to detail.
Note: Finale music is amazing!

You are invited to witness an execution, but at the start there is a twist. This is an adventure-filled room, very authentically built. I love the small souvenir that comes with gameplay - so nice!
The puzzles were well integrated into the story (although one was a little frustrating ;-)) and a really nice actor interaction to start the game. There were also two cool effects that really impressed me!
Don't let this being an "older room" distract you from experiencing it!

Everyone needs to do this room! It is wonderfully made, and the puzzles make sense and are well integrated into the story. The amount of tension is just right, with light jump scares, but nothing too horror-y. I love it when a room can balance a great environment, a clear story, and amazing puzzles, and Pray does that perfectly.

I have done several prison rooms, and I can honestly say this is the best one I have done. They beautifully integrate a sense of adventure into the story, and there are some cool ways they integrate the building into the room. You don't need to have seen the TV program on which the room is based, but I love how they explained some of the easter eggs to us after playing. I kind of want to return to play it again!

Lots of spectacle, and a clear storyline throughout. Right at the start, you realise what you are in for, and that is great. There is a clear storyline that is woven throughout.
We found some of the puzzles a little tedious or repetitive, but that could perhaps have been remedied were we more than two players. And there weren't any puzzles that really excited us, and we felt the 2 hour time slot was due to the puzzles being long-winded at times.
In the end, it was a good experience. If you are one who likes production and spectacle, definitely check this one out.

I loved this room. Although Non-Believers is more popular and this room is older, I really enjoyed the experience, the flow, the puzzles, and the environment. Yes, there are a couple things that seem a little old and worn, but it did not distract from my experience. The GM was very enthusiastic and we had a lovely chat with her after gameplay.

As with all of Trip Trap's rooms, the detail and atmosphere is beautiful. Since each of their experiences are purposefully vague, it is difficult to explain without spoilers, but if you have played any of their rooms, you know the theme is indeed not a garden. The audio adds to the immersion.
The puzzles left a bit to be desired in the middle. You have several tasks to complete before continuing, and two of them were very confusing. After verbally expressing our confusion and requesting assistant, we got no response, and then an automated reply that was exactly what we had done before getting confused. There was also something not correctly replaced during the room reset that concerned us, but we later realised it was in the room just not in the right spot. I know this can happen, but for a company with multiple Terpeca rooms, I had higher expectations.
All-in-all it was a good experience, the finale was very nice, and we were fully immersed in the story throughout.

This room is in a separate area from the other three at Grand Trip Trap Hotel, because it has so much to explore in this one game. As with their other games, you don't really know the theme, but you start in Uncle Cornelius's house, and then get to explore different environments as the story unfolds. Without spoilers, know that every detail is beautifully created.
We had a small frustration with the GM not paying attention (something was reset in French, and we kept saying that we couldn't read it, but we were not heard). After about 10 minutes when we got past that puzzle, things went smoothly.
This is a must-do experience, and I would like to return one day to be able to experience all rooms (once you play, you will understand what I mean). Add this one to your list!

Due to its Terpeca ranking, I had very high hopes for this one. The atmosphere was great - it really felt like a spaceship, and the technology used was top notch.
Where I struggled was with the puzzles. I understand that the theme lends itself to more computer/screen-based puzzles, and that is ok. But many of the puzzles required repeating a puzzle through three stages - it felt a little repetitive.
The minimum on the website says 3, and we were only 2. I know that could have affected our experience, but there were often 3 tasks that had to be done, and they could have been done simultaneously. If we had more people, then we would miss out on doing one of the tasks. But of course, it would have allowed us to escape more quickly.
As with their other rooms, the service was outstanding. And the format of being cast in a film is very creative. All-in-all I recommend all three of the rooms at Clap Escape, but the puzzles here just weren’t for me.

The atmosphere is nicely created, but when you look closely, you can see some finishing touches are missing. Playing the game in socks is an added feature that helps bring out your inner child.
A couple of the puzzles were not quite clear, and there is a lot of reading required. Once we realised what we were supposed to do, we got more into the groove, but I felt the flow was missing at times. Overall it was a very nice experience, and I would still recommend it to people visiting.
Also, this room requires a lot of collaboration, so be prepared to communicate well ?

When we were collected by the GM in character, I already had high expectations for the room. And they were indeed met. The acting added to the story and the immersive feel.
The setting and decor were beautiful, utilizing the unique building. The amount of tension was perfect for me (although I know this can vary from person to person). The puzzles were fun and varied, and didn’t take a backseat to the story, but rather added to it.
Oh, and the audio throughout really added to the experience. Overall, a top experience for us.

As with Poppet, the acting was superb. The atmosphere here was great, but not as outstanding as Poppet.
The puzzles here were on the easier side, but the gameplay was still a lot of fun. We had one small technical error (broken light) but this was overridden so that we could enjoy the rest.
Again, a really well put together experience and recommended.

I think my expectations were too high. It was definitely an impressive room, with a couple really impressive wow moments. The story is not a big part of the game, but rather a series of tests. This isn't a huge deal to me, but I know this might affect many players' experience.
We had some technical issues that really ruined part of the experience. We also didn't realise it was a malfunction, so we were just confused for about 15 minutes, and then continued to wonder if what we were doing was correct for the rest of the game. The game master didn't even realise that by finally overriding this, we skipped one whole task. At the end he seemed shocked that we didn't do one task, so I am not sure if we were even being watched throughout. I also feel that with such a large malfunction, they should have offered something (some money back, a voucher to play again in the future, etc.).
But we did enjoy the room until this point. We were only two and still escaped, but I would recommend 3 or 4.

There isn't much about the story/theme on the website, so I didn't know much going in. Perhaps this is on purpose, so no spoilers here, but it is quite dark. I still enjoyed the theme, and I liked the puzzles. The atmosphere is well done and quite creepy, keeping the tension throughout the whole experience.
I did see on the website that they consider this more of a thriller than a horror, and I don't really agree with that. The GM told me that Dutch people want horror experiences to be really scary, so that is why they say this. It was a little too much for me, but I still really enjoyed it.

There were some really cool mechanical aspects of this room, and one side of the room is beautifully decorated. The decor for the rest of the room was a little lacking.
The puzzles were fun, but they were on the easier side, and there were not very many puzzles. We finished with 30 minutes to spare. The finale was beautiful, and it was really a highlight of the full experience.
All in all, it was definitely an above average room, and we had fun. I just feel like for that price point, I would expect some more.

This room was quite large, but it has not kept up well. Some parts were difficult to read because they had been worn down so much. Also, I am not sure if we had a technical issue, or if this is how it is done, but the room with the lasers had no smoke, so we couldn't even see the lasers (this isn't a spoiler, as the image shows the lasers).
We enjoyed the gameplay for the most part, including the cooperative elements. Some of the more physical elements can only be done by one player, so the others just kind of stood there.
I understand that the location probably is a main reason for the cost, but it was definitely pricey for what we experienced.

We played their experiences in the "wrong" order, as we had already played their newer room, Han's Revenge, last year. We wanted to return for Saint-Rumoldus, and I am so glad we did.
Although this room is older and a little less polished, I actually enjoyed it more. The gameplay was a lot of fun, and I liked that you could return to all rooms throughout the game play. The decor was beautiful (despite the weird ending room, but that didn't detract from the experience for us).
There was a great balance between search and find puzzles as well as logic puzzles. This is definitely a must play, and I am excited for their upcoming new experience!

I love good puzzles, and the amount of puzzles this game had was great! And the atmosphere and decorations only added to it making it better. The storyline is creative and meta (I am never sure how much to say in a review to avoid spoilers), but we found it very clever as well. The only negative for me was the few puzzles that were fully on screens (it made me feel like it was a video game rather than part of an escape experience). However, this was just a minor thing for me.
We enjoyed this room from start to finish, and I found myself smiling throughout. I DEFINITELY will return for their other rooms one day.

We had high expectations going in, and they were met with excitement. Not only is it beautifully decorated, but the attention to details is what really impressed us. We found ourselves talking about this even days later.
I love how the theme of the experiences takes you through rooms of varying themes, and the puzzles were lots of fun.
We did this room as a day trip from Antwerp (by train/bus) and it was definitely worth the trek.

In the first 15 minutes, I did not stop smiling!
I had so many questions going into this, due to the (lack of) information on the website, and the surprises made the experience even more exciting. It is hard to explain what I loved about this experience without spoilers, so let me just put the emphasis on the word experience.
The acting really adds to the game, from the multiple actors we experienced. And the decorations were beautifully done. I can clearly see why this experience has already soared to the top rooms on this site.
The whole team was great and super friendly, and I loved the debrief at the end.
