Hi! I am Kyra, an escape room enthusiast from Germany. I played my first escape room in 2017. Since then, I couldn't get enough of them. There is no trip, no vacation without us playing an escape room (or a dozen). It's my favorite hobby! As of today, I have 111 escape rooms down, mostly in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. But I am not done counting! Spain, Greece, Canada... There is so much to do, so much to see!

Wow... just... wow...
This was such a unique experience - I can't put it into words. The way this room starts and sucks you into the story and universe is so cool, that just based on that, I would say it's an absolute must-play! But it doesn't stop there: The whole time you feel like you're in a retro adventure video game - it's so fun!
We had one person in our group who doesn't enjoy playing horror rooms at all. They were very nervous beforehand but had an amazing time afterwards. So if you consider playing the light version because the dark version might be to hard, I would advise: Don't! Our host, who is also the owner and creator of the room, described the differences between the light and the dark version and we all agreed, that the dark version is the better experience. If you're really really scared (like the person in our group was), you can contact Tales of Torchdale beforehand and they will tell you what's expecting you.

This is simply amazing
What an amazing escape room! I have played a couple by now but this one managed to surprise me in so many ways: The interior design, the acting, the setting, the scenery, simply everything was just perfect. The room just keeps on giving. You thought you've seen it all? Well... I'm sure this one will proof you wrong...

Classical room
It's a nice decent room. Not full of mind blowing surprises but with nice twists and turns and fun puzzles. We had a great time! If you are in the area anyway, it's definitely worth a visit. A group of four seemed to be the perfect number of people.

An actual vault!
I really really liked this one. Its beginning is unique and so exciting and the location itself is just so cool being set in an original underground vault. Four players seemed to be the perfect group size. There were quite original ideas and puzzles and our host was such a nice guy. If you go to Amsterdam you should definitely go play the vault.
However, we always enjoy sitting down, have a drink, and chat with the host or maybe even the owner after the game. They didn't really have a lobby so unfortunately that wasn't an option.

Absolutely stunning!
If this room was just there with the soul purpose of being looked at, it would be worth it to pay it a visit. It is simply gorgeous. However, it does contain puzzles of course. Puzzles with design and effects that match the rooms atmosphere just perfectly. Our jaws dropped again and again. There was one puzzles that wasn't really compatible with our group. However, whether it was the puzzle design or just us being slow, it's hard to tell. We would have loved to talk to the host a bit longer after our game. Unfortunately there isn't a lobby to sit down and take the time, which was too bad.
All in all, this room is an absolute must-play. The finale was just wow!

Simply wow
I know this room has closed down. I know I am a bit late to the party. However, I just must write a review now that I have an account because I just loved it so much! I have some reservations about horror games, since I don't like horror movies or horror video games. But FOMO was too strong when it became clear that Stay in the Dark will have to close down. So I went and what can I say: Just Wow! The moment the door behind us closed the tension was so high, you could practically grab it. Once we understood the game, we simply had the greatest time. There were many surprises and the actor did a magnificent job making our lives hell. The finale is yet to find an equal. The sheer size of the thing itself makes it unique but there are so many more factors that let you know, that this one is truly special.

What an experience
Molly's Game has been a Top 10 Terpeca Room for quite a while and I can see why. It is simply gorgeous from the moment you enter the building. I loved the design, the surprises, the atmosphere. However, the puzzles are not its strong suite. After a certain point they get a bit repetitive. We had the impression that the room's story was too much on the nose. It seemed to be very important that the players understood the story. However, it would have been nice, were there a bit more "Show don't Tell".
But this is nitpicking at the highest order - it's still a must-play!

A great room for escape newcomers and as well as veterans
We played this room a few years back and it was one of the reasons we fell in love with the hobby of playing escape rooms.
The attention to detail is just amazing and the realization of the board-game-theme is simply perfect. There is just so much to see in this room! Although we played this room as escape newcomers, we would still very much enjoy it today as veterans and there would still be mechanics, puzzles, and elements that we haven't seen in another room.
