Pour cette mission, nous avons été contactés par un grand musée irlandais.
Ce musée possède une collection d’objets mystiques qui retracent l’histoire de ce pays à la mémoire sanglante. Afin de compléter leur collection et retracer entièrement la terrible période de la peste noire, le musée doit impérativement récupérer 3 reliques qui ont été perdues à la suite d’événements funestes.
Les historiens affirment avec certitude que le dernier propriétaire des reliques serait un alchimiste habitant dans le petit village de Galinky (Irlande) en 1349.
Cependant, ce Hameau a une histoire assez sombre. Durant des décennies, des catastrophes en tout genre ont ravagées ce dernier, encore et encore, si bien que le village est aujourd’hui connu sous le nom de The Cursed Village (Le Village Maudit).
Après chaque catastrophe, les habitants très attachés à leur village l’on rebâtît tant bien que mal jusqu’à la terrible épidémie de peste noire qui frappa l’Irlande en 1349 et qui n’épargna pas Galinky. Les villageois furent contraints de quitter le village en laissant tout derrière eux.
La malédiction du village ne s’arrêta pas là puisque une fois le village vidé de ses habitants, la bande de pillards la plus féroce de l’île ravagea et dépouilla Galinky. Depuis cet évènement, il n’y a plus aucune trace des 3 reliques.
Votre mission sera de retourner en 1349,après la fuite des villageois, afin de vous infiltrer dans l’échoppe de l’alchimiste et de retrouver les 3 reliques.
Vous aurez 90 min pour réussir cette mission et revenir à temps à la machine temporelle.
Mais attention, les pillards rôdent déjà autour du village et sont prêts à tout pour récupérer ces reliques bien intrigantes….

Het mag nog een keer gezegd worden: het concept dat Get Back neerzet is enorm leuk. Met een compleet uitgeruste tijdmachine start je avontuur naar een moment in tijd waar je een belangrijk artefact dient te bemachtigen. Op deze manier is er meteen een vlotte overgang tussen realiteit en spel en zo sta je opeens in een verlaten dorp.
Je komt terecht in een mooi afgewerkt decor dat de juiste tijdsgeest uitstraalt.
Eens aangekomen begonnen we vervolgens aan onze zoektocht. En daarbij komen we voor mij meteen aan het sterke punt van deze kamer: de puzzels zijn enorm leuk. De volledige ruimte wordt continu gebruikt, er wordt afgewisseld tussen lineair en parallel puzzelen en je blijft “aha” momenten beleven. De flow voelt misschien wat chaotisch, maar hij is er zeker wel. Ik was enorm verrast door alle leuke puzzels in deze kamer. Sommige heel makkelijk en ludiek (als je het ziet natuurlijk) andere enorm gelaagd waar je toch even twee keer moet bij nadenken.
Dit geheel van leuke puzzels in een prachtig decor maakt dit mijn favoriete kamer van deze locatie. Verwacht geen enorme effecten of baanbrekende technologie - maar wel enorm leuk puzzelen in de juiste sfeer en in een enorm mooi decor. Hier is enorm goed over nagedacht, het zou zonde zijn als je deze niet speelt als je in de buurt bent.

Time Travel to a cursed village
This is the third room at Get Back, and it’s very popular and highly rated in the French escape community. As with the other rooms, the time machine transports us to our mission in the past.
Having gone through the time travel setup three times now, we feel that the intro, text, and video could be shorter and more tailored to the room’s theme without losing any essential elements. It tends to be a bit tedious waiting to start – the intro in Brussels is much more engaging and never boring, even on repeat visits.
We find ourselves in a pub and begin our search for clues. The initial tasks are familiar from other rooms, so we progress quickly. Once again, Get Back has created a beautiful setting, distinct from the others, with high-quality, detailed decor.
The room is dark, and you really need the lamps provided to navigate. However, it’s puzzling why one out of the three lamps is always broken, leaving two out of four players in the dark, passing lamps around. This minor issue can become a bit of a hindrance in a 90-minute room.
What truly excites us here is the room's size, with new, beautifully decorated areas constantly revealed. The puzzles can be tackled in parallel, allowing us to advance quickly at first.
The room isn’t linear, a format we’ve encountered before but still don’t prefer. We lose unnecessary time working on puzzles without the needed information.
Later on, we find that solving a puzzle in the last room requires going back to the beginning, disrupting the flow and causing confusion.
Compared to the other rooms, the decor here is superb, and the puzzles are diverse. However, the attempt at originality sometimes sacrifices logic. We still don’t understand why certain objects need to be placed in specific spots.
Some puzzles lack clear instructions, leading us down the wrong path.
Additionally, our GM’s few somehow cryptic hints, perhaps due to the language barrier, added more confusion than clarity to the game. English-speaking players might face extra challenges here.
We entered this room with high expectations, but like many experiences, it didn’t fully meet them. We left with mixed feelings, sensing that there was potential for much more.
