A major investigative newspaper has contacted us for an extraordinary mission.
They have intercepted classified information concerning Area 51 in the United States.
For decades, this base has fueled rumors, conspiracy theories, and state secrets. But in a few months, Area 51 will be officially decommissioned by the U.S. government. Before that happens, a “total cleanup” protocol is being prepared: servers will be wiped, archives destroyed or transferred to even more secret locations, and laboratories sealed forever.
The newspaper has therefore entrusted you with a mission of critical importance:
Infiltrate a highly secure research facility inside Area 51, gain access to the District 7 archives, and retrieve the top-secret files before they are permanently erased or relocated.

Op de planning: 4 missies doorheen de tijd bij get back. Het concept: met een tijdmachine terug of vooruit in de tijd om een cruciaal element te stelen.
Vanaf de intro wordt je meegenomen in dit verhaal omdat elke kamer steeds een intro krijgt in een andere tijdmachine. Dit is leuk uitgevoerd met enkele kleine effecten waardoor je meteen een leuke brug tussen de realiteit en je escape ervaring hebt.
Op die manier kwamen we in Area 51 terecht om enkele classified files te stelen. Je komt terecht in een futuristische setting die binnen de verwachting van het thema valt. De start voelt eerder als “spelletjes spelen” maar dit maakt snel plaats voor iets meer ingewikkelde puzzels zonder dat ze ooit te gecompliceerd worden. Hoewel de kamer parallel aanvoelt, is ze grootendeels lineair. Dit is enigszins vervelend omdat je al veel elementen ziet en het missende stukje pas later krijgt - hierdoor kan je je dood staren op details om een oplossing te zoeken die er helaas gewoon nog niet is. Toch is het bewonderingswaardig hoeveel details er in dit decor verwerkt zijn.
De spelbeleving was voor mij nét iets minder, maar ik ben ook gewoon iets minder fan van het thema. Mocht je hier zijn, zeker een kamer om
