Dark City

“Years ago, there was a city now almost forgotten: Baltonia.
A colossal disaster reduced it to ashes. Buildings collapsed, the sky turned black, and a chasm opened in the ground, releasing a lethal gas that transformed any living being who inhaled it into a mindless creature.

From that horror were born the Devourers of Ruins: aberrations fueled by chaos, death, and suffering. They announced their presence with vibrations and inhuman sounds. They had no purpose other than to kill and devour for pleasure.

The military forces tried to contain the threat but failed. Only remnants of equipment and lost transmissions remained scattered among the ruins.

With Baltonia on the brink of extinction, a small group of survivors, supported by an organization specializing in the unexplained — Zeta Corporation — ventured into the city in search of a solution. They discovered something crucial: the Devourers could only be exterminated with an intense, blinding light.

They activated an ancient generator hidden in the depths and managed to destroy one of the creatures. But the energy ran out. The light went out. Darkness returned.

Within seconds, they were surrounded. Everyone died… except one.

Gravely injured, the last survivor managed to drag himself to an intercom and transmit his final message:

“Command Green exterminated. Mission failed.
There is a way to stop them.
Restore the light to the city. Activate the central generators.
There is still hope for you… I am already dead.”

End of transmission.

Now, Zeta Corporation needs a new group of fearless maniacs.
