During our vacation to the US, we wanted to experience an escape room to see if they were as impressive as the escapes we have done in the Netherlands and Belgium. We did see that the room was rated Expert level, but we figured we would try it out anyway as we have build up some experience over the years. The reception was lacking on the day of our game. The game host did not talk very loudly and the game needed a reset even though we were the first team of the day. The intro is funny but counts towards your time. In the room itself, you cannot check your time, so you are just guessing how much time you have left. The amount of puzzles is overwhelming. The puzzles are not linear and even consist of multiple steps before you can solve a puzzle. What annoys me immensely in a room, is when things do not work properly. During resetting the room, someone left a remote in the room that they actually needed behind the scenes, so someone had to walk in the room to get the remote. Another puzzle did not open due to the humidity in Florida and someone else had to come in and manually open it. They were aware of the issue, but did not bother to test it before our game. These interruptions kill your flow in the game. Then they stopped the game as our time was up, right before a good part that might have made the room worthwhile. Honestly, it was an embarrassment. The host did not offer to take a picture afterwards, so if was as if we were never there, which is probably for the best. Amazing that this room is rated so highly. Not worth the time and definitely not worth the money.

Kamer #2 in Amerika. Na Servants of Sleight nu Pins & Needles. Een kamer waar ik meer naar uitkeek qua thema.
Een hele leuke, interactieve intro volgt en we worden toegelaten als leerlingen in de tattoo shop. We moeten natuurlijk beginnen met de rotklusjes dus hier gaan we.
De kamer ziet er echt tof uit! Voelt echt als een tattoo shop en heeft een hele toffe vibe. De muziek die speelt draagt hier zeker aan bij.
We vliegen door de kamer heen zonder hints en er volgt een tof verhaal. Zonder teveel te spoilen verder.
Ja dit was echt een hele toffe kamer! Beter als gedacht!
Ziet er goed uit, goeie vibe en puzzels, leuk verhaal. Zeker een aanrader als je hier bent!

Hele toffe originele kamer in Florida!
Kamer 2! Ditmaal Pins and Needles. De kamer was 16+ dus de kids waren net te jong maar vermaakten zich prima in de ontvangstruimte.
Het begin van de kamer was heel origineel. Bevatte een hoop gescheld, dus ik denk mede daarom ook de 16+ stempel ;-) De kamer speelde zich af in een tattoo shop. Heel origineel thema, althans wij hadden nog nooit een kamer gespeeld met dit thema. De puzzels waren allemaal goed in thema, decor zag er leuk uit en een leuke twist op het einde.
Een enorme aanrader en staat terecht hoog in de lijsten!
