The Witch

Dorćol is a small, quiet part of Belgrade where everyone knows everything about everyone. In this old house lives a woman known to everyone as Witch Roska.

Born in this neighborhood, Roska practiced coffee reading, bean divination, star interpretation, and removing curses. When she was young, people flocked to her, convinced she could reveal their destinies or help with their problems. Her name was known not only in Dorćol but also beyond.

However, times have changed. New, younger faces began offering their “services,” and Roska started losing clients. Her sessions began to grow darker. Those who came to her for answers soon experienced strange occurrences—illnesses, accidents, disappearances… Rumors spread through the neighborhood, but no one dared to accuse her. Everyone feared her.

As her power waned, Roska grew bitter. She decided to seek revenge on all who had left her. She cursed the entire neighborhood.

People began mysteriously falling ill, domestic animals were dying, and the streets were empty after sunset. Unexplained events occurred in homes—screams could be heard and a sinister smell of decay spread through the area.

One night, a group of brave residents decided to enter Roska’s house, hoping to stop her dark magic and lift the curse from the neighborhood. But no one returned.
