Humanity travels through space in very small steps. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson dream of spaceflight within the limits of the solar system to the planet closest to Earth. The human being deserves much more. We can reach the other end of the galaxy, but we will look for intelligent life and establish contact with them. Our children will live in an unlimited interstellar space.
The project started 12 years ago was in the shadows, but the time has come to reveal it. All these years a group of outstanding scientists heirs of a secret space program, have been working on missions to open space. Out of all ethics and business logic, they were able to develop technology capable of plunging people into a hibernation process and equipping a spacecraft to fly for centuries.
The most important thing about the project was the artificial intellect of the ship. Its IQ is almost a hundred times higher than that of Siri and Google combined. Their intelligence and knowledge are so dazzling that they can fix any ship or crew problem in a matter of seconds. It is the first artificial brain to surpass the human intellect. He's an electronic Albert Einstein.
At this very moment the Ulysses project is selecting volunteers to be part of the crew that will depart for the stars in search of extraterrestrial life.

Dit was de eerste kamer die we speelden bij Maximum Escape en ik vind deze de beste van de twee (mocht je een keuze moeten maken).
Een ding wat ze goed doen bij Maximum Escape is de aankleding van de kamers. Het ziet er allemaal hartstikke leuk uit. Er wordt zorgvuldig een thema neergezet en daarmee ook een beleving. Ik vind dit in Barcelona iets wat ze goed doen; meer storytelling, lange(re) filmpjes en je meer een verhaal laten beleven in een escape room.
Deze kamer heeft niet zo onwijs veel puzzels en de gehele kamer is lineair. Deze combinatie maakt dat het best wel een rustige escape room is, waar er niet veel te doen is voor een groep van vier. Er is meer ingezet op beleving.
Zoals in de omschrijving staat van deze escape room is er een nauwe doorgang van 56 cm. Dat is niet overdreven. Het is echt niet groot! Maar nog veel belangrijker, er komt een punt dat je ook weer terug moet door deze nauwe doorgang. Dit zou niet zo'n probleem zijn als het een tunnel over de grond was, waar je doorheen moet kruipen.. Helaas is dit een upper-body-strength-dingetje en hoop ik dat je toch wat armspieren hebt om in te zetten. Ik wil natuurlijk niet te veel verklappen, maar laten we zeggen dat het gros van het team dus voorbereidend op de kamer wat push ups moeten doen ;). Ik heb er overigens wel om moeten lachen.

Leuke tweede helft
Het eerste half uur is niet bijzonder origineel, maar daarna wordt het spel wel stukken leuker. De eerste helft is ook meer standaard een escape room met puzzels, waar de tweede helft de focus legt op de beleving

Prima Beleving
De host heeft ons vriendelijk ontvangen, en zorgde ervoor dat we ontspannen aan ons avontuur konden beginnen. De kamer is in stijl waarbinnen de puzzels ook goed passen. De puzzels zijn wel Lineair en zijn er niet heel veel. Je moet fysiek wel in goede conditie zijn. Ook komen er keuze momenten waarbij de groep goed na moet denken wie wat gaat doen. Maar de communicatie hierin is wel duidelijk. De kamer is mooi gemaakt. Op sommige momenten was er wel wat weinig licht. Het is geen keiharde must play, maar als het thema je aanspreekt zou je hem zeker kunnen overwegen
