It’s 1953 and the Mafia wars are again rife on the streets of New York City. The Big Boss has lost the Golden Ring, whose possessor wields the ultimate power to lead the five Mafia families of New York – and with its whereabouts unknown, chaos has ensured.

New information has just been received that the Golden Ring was stolen by a rival Mafia family and is being held in their headquarters, hidden in plain sight behind the façade of a simple diner.

Your mob has been called upon by the boss to find and secure the Golden Ring to reclaim “what is rightfully ours” and put an end to the latest Mafia wars. Time is of the essence, as you have only one hour before your rivals return and should they find you inside they will be sure to unleash their fury!

This game is rated PG and contains some adult themes.

Crimineel!

Nadat bij een eerder bezoek aan Speakeasy: Secrets Of The Green Fairy (zie bespreking daar) was gebleken dat Adventure Rooms Australia stukken beter is dan de Europese tegenhanger, kwamen we enkele dagen later terug voor deze kamer. Beide locaties van Adventure Rooms Melbourne liggen in het centrum en zijn dus het beste met het openbaar vervoer te bereiken, bijvoorbeeld op een kwartier wandelen van Flinders Station.

Een Amerikaanse maffiakamer (in het Italiaans en het Engels spel je 'mafia' met een 'f', in het Nederlands maf genoeg met twee f'en :-)) is qua aankleding en afwerking een wat makkelijker thema, omdat je uit tal van clichés kan putten, maar ook hier was die weer verzorgd.
De goed in het thema passende puzzels vond ik hier nog wat inventiever dan in hun speakeasykamer en vooral hun slimme overgangen tussen te verschillende ruimtes. Veel te doen voor zijn tweeën, flink aanpakken dus en we hebben het dan ook net niet gehaald, maar mochten de kamer gelukkig wel uitspelen.
