The land of the hills

Hundreds of years ago a brave halfling succeeded in slaying the great dragon. This was only possible, because he brought the most powerful artifacts in the kingdom into his possession, and used them to kill the monster. Except for one specimen, all eggs were destroyed; the halfling took this one into his own care, so that it fell into oblivion over the centuries. But now the brood has hatched and the kingdom is again in danger of being burned to the ground. The only salvation is the halfling's magical equipment. But he is getting on in years and no longer knows how to find them in the chaos in his hut. And his dragon egg is nowhere to be found either.
