Het kleine, rustige stadje Silver City (Texas) is opnieuw het slachtoffer van vreemde verdwijningen van jonge buitenlanders.
Politie-inspecteurs Will Sanders en Olivia Carter en agent John Meyers hebben een onderzoek heropend, maar ze hebben hulp nodig om te achterhalen wat er is gebeurd.
Alles wijst in de richting van het Sawyer-huis, waar in 1974 de gruwelijke kettingzaagmoorden plaatsvonden.
Het huis, dat verlaten was sinds de psychiatrische opname van de laatste twee gezinsleden in 2001, is opnieuw in het vizier van de autoriteiten.
