Egypt, 1922. Step into the Valley of the Kings, where an ancient curse has been unleashed and a fearsome mummy roams the land.
Archeologists have prized open a pharaoh’s tomb and taken something that does not belong to them: a sacred amulet filled with the devastating power of the old Gods.
But taking the amulet has unleashed a power they cannot control. A walking curse in the form of a hideous mummy. This creature now stalks the land taking revenge on all who desecrated its master’s tomb.
Your only hope is to lead a team of adventurers into the heart of the pharaoh’s lair, return the amulet to its rightful owner, and break the curse before it’s too late…

De tombe van de farao bleek prachtig gemaakt; deze kamer van Escape Hunt Oxford lijkt redelijk nieuw en is helemaal geautomatiseerd. Wij waren met twee spelers, en we vermoeden dat vier spelers de max is. Niet alleen vanwege de ruimte (moet je maar niet een tombe binnengaan, dan kun je verwachten dat het krap is), maar ook omdat er niet heel veel samenwerking nodig was. Wel kunnen veel puzzels tegelijkertijd worden opgelost. De eerste ruimte bevatte de meeste afwisseling qua puzzels. In een volgende ruimte zitten drie puzzels die eigenlijk allemaal op hetzelfde neerkomen; dat is jammer. Het einde was best aardig, maar weer vertrekken door de ingang is toch wel een beetje achterhaald. Wij Nederlanders zijn natuurlijk verwend met onze 2.0 en hogere escaperooms. Verwacht dat niet: Escape Hunt Oxford is leuk als je in de buurt bent, maar je hoeft er niet voor om te rijden.
