What better things to do as escape rooms fanatics then visiting an escape when on holiday.
The full MOT team was present and in mood to get some distyrcation in a Steampunk themed escape room, not a theme we had done many times before.
Location easy to find, reception was nice and after a necesary stress visit to the toilet we started.
The room is simple and yet challenging in the way that many stuff can be found at the same time, which make finding the start challenging, but we were on a roll and apart from 1 little tip we made good progress.
Even that good that we smashed the previous record. Out in just over half an hour.

Leuke start van 'escapen in Ijsland'
Tijdens de roadtrip door/rond Ijsland wilden we toch eens een Escape Room in Ijsland proberen.
We hadden nog nooit een escape room gespeeld in het 'echte' buitenland en dat leek ons best een uitdaging.
Via Google vonden we deze organisatie. Ze stonden nog niet op escapetalk, maar daar konden we wel voor zorgen.
De escape room is heel eenvoudig te vinden in een grote straat middenin het 'centrum' van Reykjavik.
De host wachtte ons heel vriendelijk op en gaf ons de nodige instructies. Hij gaf aan dat escaperooms in Ijsland nog helemaal geen hype was. Vandaar de beperkt aantal mogelijkheden.
We besloten om deze steampunk kamer te spelen. Het slagingspercentage was ok en het leek volgens de 'Ijslanders' best een enge kamer te zijn.
De kamer zelf is meer dan degelijk. Niet baanbrekend of origineel. We vlogen door deze kamer. Slechts 1 keer moesten we een hint vragen (en die kon door ons vermeden worden).
In een top (record) tijd stonden we buiten.
De host wachtte ons op en voelde zich schuldig omdat we zo een scherpe tijd hadden gezet.
Hij zei dat de meeste Ijslanders deze kamer niet halen en deze redelijk eng vinden.
Wij als BE-NL spelers zijn natuurlijk heel wat meer gewend.
We hebben een leuke tijd gehad, de kamer laat zien waartoe ze in staat zijn.
De 'escape' community zal duidelijk nog moeten groeien.
Deze kamer is ideaal voor mensen die nog nooit een escape room hebben gespeeld.
We kregen de kans om nog een kamer te spelen aan de helft van de prijs, en daar hebben we gebruik van gemaakt.
