Geruchten zwollen aan dat ze het mysterieuze elixer had bemachtigd, verstopt in de diepten van haar troonkamer. De lucht van intrigue omgaf de koningin, maar of de elixer werkelijk bestond, bleef gehuld in mysterie, net als de raadselachtige glimlach van Cleopatra zelf. Meer van verwacht

Vandaag nog eens escapen in eigen stad. Ik heb de twee Egyptische kamers bij Room of Riddles geboekt. Vroeger hebben we daar eens the Aztec Temple gespeeld, maar die was ons niet echt goed bevallen (technische problemen en veel te donker in de kamer). Hopelijk is het vandaag beter.
Voordat we beginnen moeten we nog even een introductiefilmpje bekijken, met de eigen GSM. Beetje raar dat ze dat hier niet op een TV ofzo afspelen…
De kamer toont in elk geval al Egyptisch, maar de inkleding is toch wel wat ondermaats om het echte Egypte-gevoel op te wekken. In het midden staat de “hoofdpuzzel”, waarop duidelijk staat welke subpuzzels je moet oplossen. De gebruikte hiërogliefen geven eigenlijk vrij duidelijk aan welke onderdelen bij elkaar horen. De puzzels zijn redelijk uitdagend, maar ik heb niet de indruk dat het er erg veel zijn. We kunnen er aan verschillende tegelijkertijd werken en af en toe eens wisselen om andere inzichten te krijgen. Bij één puzzel hebben we wel een duwtje in de rug nodig, omdat we iets te ver out of the box denken. Soms kan een simpele gedachtengang blijkbaar ook tot de oplossing leiden. Al bij al gaat het redelijk vlot en hebben we nog bijna 13 minuten over.

Leuke kamer, maar ik had er iets meer van verwacht.
