Very interactive and fun use of teamwork

Recently went to this escape room with 4 friends as a belated birthday outing. All of them had previous experience with escape rooms.

Firstly, the staff was great. It was definitely nice to get an enthusiastic introduction before entering the room. No complaints here.

Now on to the puzzles. The puzzles felt really interactive. It was a nice combination of figuring puzzles out logically and finding/solving all the interactive sections in the room. The selection of puzzles was great and refreshing as well. In the words of a friend that went to tons of escape rooms before: “I’d never seen that kind of puzzle before in any other escape room.”
We only had difficulty with one puzzle, because we couldn’t find the difference between two indicators, but this was resolved quickly with a hint.

Speaking of hints, in previous escape rooms, I’ve had the experience that hints for tiny missed details or small mistakes were given far too late. This was not the case for this escape room. Hints were given at a nice time after trying to figure it out ourselves, resulting in us not getting the answer too quickly and also not getting stumped on what to do next or what we did wrong. The way the hints were given also felt very in tune with the atmosphere, resulting with little emersion being lost.

The interior of the escape room is very thematic and gives great emersion. The lighting and sounds used were great at setting the mood. Puzzles were nicely spaced out between different parts of the escape room, making it so that most parts had things going on at the same time, which was fun for a group of 5. Only at few points were we all huddled up together, solving the same part of a puzzle. There were signals if completing a puzzle opened something somewhere else.
There was only one part of a puzzle that personally had lighting that was a little too dim, making it a bit harder to see the clues needed to continue. Other than that, no complaints here.

One last thing to add. Normally communication is key to escape rooms, and this escape room made really fun use of that. We had a laugh with how we worked together on some puzzles. No spoilers though :) .

Overall, a very interactive and fun escape room with a variety of puzzles and great use of space and theming.
